It comes with support for Quick Charge 4.0 which greatly reduces the time required to charge your battery. Let’s take a look at some devices in the Indian market that runs the Snapdragon 845.

The OnePlus 6 is OnePlus‘ latest flagship alternative. It comes with a notched 6.2-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2280×1080. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen from daily wear and tear. The primary camera is 16+20-megapixels with PDAF, 4k 60fps video recording and EIS (electronic image stabilization). The secondary camera is 16 megapixels and comes with AI-driven portrait mode. The base variant comes with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM and the maxed out variant with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with OxygenOS on top. It is one of the few devices eligible for the Android P beta that has been out for a while.

Vivo NEX: Price in India, Specifications, Features, Availability

Vivo shocked the world by showcasing a truly bezel-less screen and a retractable selfie camera. The Vivo NEX set a precedent for major players such as Samsung and Apple and we hope that they design similar phones soon. The Vivo NEX comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080×2316. Compared to other Snapdragon 845-powered devices, the Vivo NEX’s camera is relatively underwhelming. The primary camera is 12+5-megapixels and the secondary pop-up camera is 8-megapixels. Usually, Vivo devices have an overpowered secondary camera, but this time around things seem different. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh Li-ion battery. The base variant comes with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. It runs Android 8.1 out of the box customized with FunTouchOS on top.

OPPO Find X: Price in India, Specifications, Features, Availability

The Oppo Find X, much like the Vivo NEX, comes with a retractable camera mechanism. It is a lot less durable compared to the NEX but comes sandwiched between two layers of Gorilla Glass 5. The Oppo Find X has a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080×2340 and is one of the few 2018 devices that doesn’t come with an ugly notch. The primary camera is 16+20-megapixels and the secondary camera, much like all Oppo devices, is 25-megapixels. Oppo advertises itself as the ‘selfie expert’ and the Find X carries on that legacy perfectly. The device is powered by a 3,700mAh Li-ion battery. Other features include support for Face Unlock, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USP Type C port for charging and data transfer. It lacks a fingerprint scanner altogether, so facial recognition is the only form of biometric authentication possible on the Find X.

The Snapdragon 845 can do only so much when it comes to making a device feel top-of-the-line. The other part lies with the manufacturer, software optimization and other such factors. The Indian market has almost all devices running the SD845, barring the LG G7 ThinQ, which will make its way to India eventually. The US and China variants of the Galaxy S9 also run a Snapdragon 845, but they’ll be restricted to those regions.
